On Thursday, May 17 (6:30 pm) the last installment of the film series selected by Vincent Valdez will screen at Artpace:
In this soaring story of human adventure, a young Eskimo boy is uprooted from his remote Alaskan village and forced to confront a modernity he hadn’t before imagined. As opportunities abound, Avik embarks on a journey of self-discovery and relationships fueled by unyielding fate. The film’s use of magical metaphors to present the power and tragedy of love is echoed in a number of Valdez’s works. 95min. Free admission.
