Lecture on “Aesthetic Disgust” at Trinity

Dr. Carolyn Korsemeyer, University of Buffalo SUNY, will give a lecture titled “The Foul and the Fair: Aesthetic Disgust” on Tuesday, October 21st at 8 pm at Trinity University in the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall.
There will be a reception after the lecture.
Korsemeyer is a Professor of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Her chief areas of interest are aesthetics and emotion theory and her present research combines the two with a focus on disgust as an aesthetic response. She has written several books including: Gender and Aesthetics: An Introduction; The Taste Culture Reader: Experiencing Food & Drink; and Making Sense of Taste: Food and Philosophy.
